Care & Wear

Your Swoon Rodeo piece is made to be worn and loved. With thoughtful care, it will age beautifully over time.

Metals

Gold, Sterling Silver & Bronze

Gold and silver
Gold and sterling silver can be cleaned with lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft toothbrush. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.

Bronze
Bronze is a durable metal with a warm, soft golden tone when polished. It’s easy to care for and designed to be worn, but like all non-plated metals it will naturally dull and develop a patina over time. That’s part of the material — it responds to weather, skin and use.

If you prefer your pieces bright, a jewellery polishing cloth or standard dip will bring the shine back in seconds. For care, avoid direct contact with perfume, lotion, sunscreen or oils. Remove bronze pieces before swimming or bathing, and store them dry.

Bronze will darken faster on some people than others — skin chemistry, climate and wear all play a role. If you want a natural clean-up method: mix equal parts lemon juice and baking soda, immerse the piece for 10–15 minutes, brush with a soft toothbrush and dry thoroughly.

Always clean gently and dry completely. Over-polishing will remove patina — choose the finish you love

Avoid liquid cleaners, sprays, or commercial polishing products, as these may damage the surface.

Gemstones

Gemstones are natural materials and each one is unique.
Clean with a soft cloth or lukewarm water and mild soap, then dry carefully.

Delicate stones such as coral, shell, opal, jade, and pearls should be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth only.

Bandanas

Swoon Rodeo bandanas are vintage or naturally dyed, each with its own character and signs of wear. Natural dyes and aged fabrics require gentle care.

·       Hand wash only in cold water

·       Use a mild, natural detergent

·       Do not bleach

·       Do not tumble dry

·       Lay flat or hang to dry

·       Avoid frequent washing — less is more

Natural dyes may soften or fade slightly over time. This is not a flaw, but part of the fabric’s story and character.

Treat your bandana with care, and it will age beautifully.

Leather

Leather elements are chosen for their natural character.
Keep leather pieces dry and remove jewelry before bathing or swimming. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals.

Final Note

Jewelry is not indestructible — it’s meant to live with you. Treat it with care, and it will stay with you for many years.
